Will you be one of the exhibitors at the end of June in the Innovation Pavilion of the Volvo Ocean Race?

In 2018, The Hague is proud to be organising the Finish of the Volvo Ocean Race for the first time. Off the coast of The Hague, the finale of one of the biggest and most innovative sports events in the world will be taking place. In the finish week (from 24 June to 1 July), a fantastic festival is being organised in Scheveningen harbour for sailors, the public and businesses. 400,000 visitors are expected to visit the festival, including 25,000 business guests.

The Hague, the ultimate destination for innovation
During the festival week, the Innovation Pavilion, which is part of the Race Village, will be giving leading start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs the opportunity to present their innovations in a maritime and sustainable environment. Admission to the Race Village will be free to the public. The Innovation Pavilion will also be visited by all the participants in the Business Programme networking event of the Volvo Ocean Race Finish. This will naturally facilitate and stimulate contacts between (innovative) entrepreneurs.

InnovationQuarter, VPdelta, Sailing Innovation Centre, St. Noordzeevis uit Scheveningen, The Hague Business Agency and TNO contribute to approaching exhibitors.

The eligibility criteria for a stand in the Innovation Pavilion:

  • Your business has an innovative, inspiring, tangible and demonstrable product.
  • And you are based in Rotterdam-The Hague Metropolitan Region.
  • You have staff available to man the stand in the Innovation Pavilion for at least two or three consecutive days (from 10.00 a.m.-11.00 p.m.).
    • Sunday 24-6 to Tuesday 26-6
    • Wednesday 27-6 to Friday 29-6

The entrepreneur will be responsible for the arrangement of the stand, staffing, transport and additional facilities, including insurance.
